I am Nicole, an immigrant alien, originally from Québec, Canada. I moved to the US at the age of 12 and have lived in Huntsville, Alabama for 44 years. In fact, I’ve been in the South for so long I refer to myself as a Canajun! It was only in 2014 that I took out US citizenship. I was fortunate to have a green card so I wasn’t in fear of being deported and being torn away from my US born children as we’ve seen in these recent days.
After many years of living in Alabama, I decided the Southeast US is home to me. I love the warm balmy breezed, gentle soft mountains (or hills if you’re from the left coast), and waterfalls. I even LOVE tornado weather – the electrifying, exciting part. (No disrespect meant to all the people in Alabama who have lost loved ones or property.)
Here in Alabama, I am a little blue dot in a red state. But this blue dot is growing everyday. Indivisible Alabama now has over 900 members!
Thanks for visiting my website. I hope to get to know you better soon.
